Roadmap & Planning

A pragmatic transformation plan that fits your budget, timeline, and the reality of running a mid-market company.

How we build roadmaps

We don't start with a template and fill in your company's name. Every roadmap is built from the ground up using a structured, repeatable process that keeps your constraints front and center.

1

Start with discovery

We begin with our Assessment (or your existing audit) to ground every recommendation in evidence, not assumptions.

2

Define outcomes first

Before we talk about tools, we define what success looks like in business terms — revenue, cost, speed, risk, or all of the above.

3

Map dependencies

We identify what blocks what. You can't roll out a new CRM before cleaning your data. We sequence the work so nothing stalls.

4

Phase for momentum

Every roadmap includes quick wins in the first 90 days. Early visible progress builds trust with your team and your leadership.

What you get

A strategy deliverable you can actually use — not just to present to the board, but to run your weekly standup against for the next 12 months.

Prioritized initiative backlog

12–25 specific workstreams ranked by impact and feasibility. Each one includes: what problem it solves, what it costs (range), how long it takes, who needs to be involved, and what the success metric is.

Phased timeline

A visual roadmap organized into 90-day phases. Phase 1 is detailed week-by-week. Phases 2–4 are at the month level with clear decision gates between them.

Resource & budget plan

Headcount estimates (internal + external), tooling costs, and a total budget range broken down by phase. We include a 'minimum viable budget' for leadership that wants to start cautiously.

Risk register & mitigation

The top 5–8 things that could derail your transformation — and concrete steps to reduce the likelihood of each one. Includes a one-page executive summary for your risk committee.

Vendor & tooling recommendations

When the roadmap calls for new tools, we provide 2–3 options per need with pros, cons, and estimated TCO. We're vendor-agnostic — no commissions, no referral fees.

Timeline & budget

Strategy engagements are structured to deliver high value without dragging on. We work on a fixed project fee, not an open-ended hourly meter.

Timeline

Typically 4–6 weeks from kickoff to final deliverable. Shorter if you already have a recent assessment in hand; longer if we're doing discovery from scratch.

Investment

Fixed project fees range based on scope and complexity. We provide a detailed proposal with a single price — no surprises, no change-order games. Typical range: $18K–$45K.

Who it's for

Strategy is the right next step when you have clarity on the problem but need a plan to solve it.

  • You've completed an assessment (ours or someone else's) and have a clear list of gaps
  • You have board or investor pressure to modernize but no coherent plan to present
  • You're growing fast and your current systems won't scale another 12 months
  • You've got budget approval contingent on a credible execution plan
  • You need an outside perspective to break internal disagreement about what to prioritize
